The City Club of New York Preservation Committee

The City Club and the City Club preservation committee address issues that go to the heart of the landmarks law and the integrity of the landmarks process.

New York City is in constant flux, a process in which historic preservation has a positive role to play. We support projects whose architecture enhances what is there, making it function better for all, not less well, look better, not worse, and last longer.   We work against projects whose form, massing, architectural language or materiality demean the city we love.
